Charitable causes

Just like a good friend, we strive to strengthen women, so they are seen and loved for who they are. We believe that every woman represents a great resource. And the world will be a better place if we share our positive energy and spirit. It reflects the causes we support. Every single one is chosen with the intention of making a real difference where it can be felt most.
Paperchains from Uganda's women
Paperchain Jewellery is a jewellery company that was founded in 2013 by a North Irish mother and her daughter as a charitable act. The purpose is to help street children in Uganda by helping their parents. The jewellery is designed in North Ireland but is handmade by women in Uganda. The work helps women to be able to make a sustainable income and support their families financially, so fewer children will end up on the street. We help this good cause by selling the unique jewellery, which is made from paper beads.

Women refugees
Together with the Red Cross, an outlet in Noa Noa's headquarters gave women a special experience at a family asylum centre in Esbønderup. The day before our official opening, we invited them along to take some free clothes. The outcome was very positive in several ways. The mothers got out of the centre, enjoyed a social experience along with the volunteers and met a Danish company. They got new clothes for themselves and their daughters, which was the first time for a very long time that they could enjoy receiving gifts. Our staff could also feel the pleasure of giving something to people who are worse off than themselves. And we were even invited onto the Danish breakfast tv programme 'Go’ Morgen Danmark' to talk about social responsibility, which has hopefully inspired other Danish companies.

The Afghan women's cycle team
The Afghan women cyclists train hard and defy poor roads, dangerous traffic, prejudice and threats to achieve what they want most - to ride their bikes and reach their goal of competing in the OG in Tokyo in 2020. We have supported the cycling team in several ways. We invited the team captain Shannon Galpin to Danmark to spread the message with the former cyclist Rolf Sørensen. In front of selected Noa Noa stores, we set up exercise bikes and donated DKK 20 to the cycle team for every kilometre that the passers-by pedalled. We also designed and sold a ”share your strength” bag, where the profits of the sales went to the Afghan women's cycle team. We collected a total of DKK 65,000, which the cycle team used for their tour bus in Afghanistan.
