A trip to India

Dear All,

We have just returned from yet another trip to our suppliers in the far east.
It has been a good trip in beautiful weather conditions with temperatures in the 30'ties.
We are now load with inspiration and new energy.

India is developing so fast and it is amazing to see from visit to visit how new buildings, new metro stations, new shopping malls have come up in no time.
In India we visited one of our dear suppliers, who has a factory located slightly on the country side.
It is a beautiful location with pretty flowers and trees on the premises.
This factory recently passed the tough tests of implementing the SA8000.
SA8000 is a strict set of rules for the factory to follow in regards to work rights, work conditions, and health and safety for the workers.

The standard Noa Noa is working with in regards to Code of conduct is BSCI.
We made a big promotion of this specific code of conduct 2 years back.

We are very happy to see the progress and the commitment from our suppliers in regards to their work with BSCI.
And proud to see how they on their own initiative take it to the next level as with this factory.

Noa Noa 30th Anniversary

This autumn we celebrate Noa Noa's 30^th Anniversary. The company was founded by two brothers who found that the fashion scene lacked a feminine alternative. What started as a small company based in a basement in Helsingør, soon became a success and today Noa Noa's collections are sold all over the world.

My Noa Noa career started more than ten years ago in one of our shops. During my time in Noa Noa, I have many beautiful, experimental and extraordinary designs including everything from basic T-shirts to extravagant dresses.

I found a box with old catalogues in the office and spent an evening going through them. I'm amazed! Though some of the Noa Noa styles from the early days are very typical for the period, some are ahead of their time and some are eternal. Fashion has clearly changed, but there are things in all Noa Noa collections that are always recognizable: the feminine look, the bohemian atmosphere, the combination of patterns and colours and the use of accessories.

Here at Noa Noa we celebrate the anniversary with a special Anniversary Collection. The styles in this small collection are inspired by some of the unique Noa Noa designs from 1981 to 2011. The collection is available in selected Noa Noa shops right now. Enjoy!

Away

Just back from my summer holyday.

I love summer. All about it: the easy living (when it's not raining). Happy faces. People outside. Lovely foods you don't get in the winter time.

It's all  delicious for me.

My summer holiday took me to Greece. A country I love to visit. Just being lazy and drift around was balm for my mind and soul. It gave me energy and inspiration enough for creating the next great collection here at Noa Noa.

To be in 38 degrees doesn't at first give you inputs to an autumn collection, but I think the inputs of sun, sand, water, laughter and being away gives energy to start over again.

Now I'm back with all my lovely colleagues here at "the farm".
